- Signage at the bottom of Polscoe Hill will be revised , so that it no longer directs traffic for Mount Edgecumbe up through Crafthole – Traffic heading to Mount Edgcumbe will now be directed via Antony.
- Also, new signage will be installed to direct traffic towards the A38 via Antony, (When leaving Millbrook/Freathy).
- The virtual footpath will be renewed.
- The two mini speed cushions outside the anvil will be removed. This will prevent road impact /damage to utilities and damage to the side of the fencing caused by larger vehicles. The traffic is deemed to already be calm enough to not require these bumps, due to the existing giveaway/road narrowing at the Eastern Gateway to Crafthole and the speed cushion/narrowing outside the Community shop.
- Yellow lines and vegetation clearance (between mini roundabout and prior to the Finnygook (outside Lynher house) will allow for better flow of traffic at the mini roundabout (thus reducing traffic jams/impasses. However to counteract the loss of 2/3 roadside parking spaces, additional parking is being created slightly further along (westwards) by clearing the vegetation and extending the existing parking bay near the phone box to ensure that this will not reduce parking in the village.
This is an agenda item at the meeting of Sheviock Parish Council on Monday the 12th of June, in Crafthole Memorial Hall (Kennedy Room and Lounge).
